And It's Only Tuesday!

With all these animals to care for you know it's going to be busy and as usual Joy is being superhuman...she has lots on today and the woofa's have a special visitor who will be bringing sauasages! So here is a round up of the goings on at Birkett~Smith......

First off BIG NEWS!

It's another success story for the Sanctuary and why the SOS Rehab Havens are so important...Harry has secured himself a rural, secluded home with minimal and safe dog interaction! We never doubted this little charmer would find a wonderful home who would understand his character. Good luck Harry...be happy xxx

Today Joy is on a dog food run to pick up a tonne and a half of donated food from a dear friend and yesterday Sandra Umfreville kindly delivered a trailer full of duvets for the dogs and helped Joy take them in and give them to some of the packs that are good with new people, and it seems Sandra and her colleague speak dog as the pack loved them both even little Flo who can be nervous of new people. So they are both always very welcome to come and see us again!

As you can imagine, feeding and taking care of 150 plus animals is not cheap and we are always very, very grateful for donations of any kind. We have a wishlist here of the things we always need: What We Need

Our lovely Sheralyn Stuckey is coming to visit the woofas today, as well as all the auctions, cake baking, running around she does for us she also comes to see the woofas. It's a great opportunity and exercise for the SOS woofas that can be human scared/wary, to meet a like minded woofa person who has cooked them up a banger load of sausages! So new meet and greets again today for some of the SOS crew and sausages all round!

Don't forget we have the Auction and several fundraisers on the go on our Fundraising Group

and remember to look over the new website which is packed full of info and join us on Twitter....we are going LARGE!

Finishing the blog today with this comment from the lovely Helen Lloyd:

"If you have received love from an animal in your life then you are very lucky. Give back a little to this fantastic trust and see what YOU can do to make a huge difference. Love...shelter...healthcare..& food. What an amazing gift you can give. Do it today. Thank you so much."

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone and wrap up warm....Noel has *smiles* xx
